In our shop, we use completely VOC-free oils or hard-wax hand-rubbed to finish our products. All of our finishes are safe for humans and the environment alike. The finishes we use are FDA compliant for food contact surfaces and include a mix of mineral oil, coconut oil, walnut oil, vitamin E, & waxes such as carnauba or beeswax.

The ash tree, with its mighty roots that sink deep into the ground, symbolizes the World Tree―a tree that joined the three worlds: the underworld, middle earth, and the spiritual realm. The ash tree is also linked with the blending of the past, present, and future. In a number of legends, it's connected to the gods, and considered sacred.

Concrete, while known for being very hard and durable, is recognized for its rapid changing process. Concrete goes from a liquid to a solid and once it is solidly set, it is nearly impossible to break apart. Symbolizing strength and stability in first, realizing, and then, grounding one’s dreams and desires into reality.
