MEET THE MAKER
THE ORIGIN STORY
From a young age, Dave showed a passion for creating things with his own two hands. Whether he was making ‘gifts’ out of garage scraps at age 5, attempting to construct a chair at 9, building his own headboard at 15, or restoring a motorcycle at 19, it was clear that his happy place was among the tools covered in sawdust or grease, or both. Plotting, planning, problem-solving, and creating is where he thrives.
THE SPARK
Always drawn to creating things, Dave bought a second-hand lathe and began teaching himself woodturning. What initially started as a curiosity for a new skill quickly became an all-consuming obsession for co-creating with nature.
His love of nature grew deeper with every grain, spalt, + burl he was able to get his hands on. He found his personal form of meditation + inner peace behind the hypnotic revolutions of the lathe. He found new levels of patience + respect in handling the razor sharp tools of the trade. With every beautiful piece he artfully + intentionally creates, he continues to unlock his passion and fulfillment.
THE INTENTION
Self-taught with a passion for exploration + innovation, Dave has a true maker’s soul. Woodturning has given him a different perspective on art, nature, + the world around him. He pours himself into his work, infusing good intentions + high vibrations (and good music!) into each piece in hopes of bringing positive energy into the homes of others through natural beauty.
Every piece coming out of the shop was intentionally chosen, handcrafted, + finished with respect, care, & artistry to create bespoke, heirloom quality pieces.
